It looked the like Sheraton, but they have no available rooms for booking on the direct website. The W Lakeshore is not a 4/5 on tripadvisor. Says retail of $219 Opinions? Thanks

thereuare Posted February 26, 2014 Report Posted February 26, 2014 AaronJB may be able to list some alternate possibilities, but my best guess would be the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers. We have seen hotels won when the hotel was otherwise showing sold-out, but this is the exception more than the rule. HOWEVER, note that the hotel is not actually sold-out (in the 'no rooms available' sense) for your dates, but rather there is a multi-nite stay restriction (or they are not allowing Saturday check-in)... if you search for April 4-6 there is availability. Usually when hotels have no Saturday check-in or a minimum nite requirement, it is indicative of stronger than usual demand, and this would make them a hotel a little less likely to offer rooms thru the opaque providers at a deep discount, so it could be a different hotel that also has all the amenities listed, but based upon what is known my current guess would be the Sheraton. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. AaronJB Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 I'd also agree the Sheraton would be a definite possibility in this case. Given that this is the least expensive 4*+ North of the river, it would seem to be a good option. The Sheraton is a business/convention hotel - if you are looking for more amenities/personalized service, you could consider other options (although they are going to be more expensive), but if you are looking for a 4* that is a "place to sleep in a great location", this would be a fine option. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
