Hotwire Hotel: 4.5* Fort Lauderdale (Beach) Atlantic Resort and Spa

We are new to this great site---trying to find a 4* hotel in South Beach Collins Ave or Ocean Drive but want to be directly on ocean.  Can't seem to find how to NYOP for priceline to be sure that we are oceanfront.  We can see where it says "oceanfront" for hotwire hotel (but assuming room may not be?)...staying May 3-4/ 2 adults.  Any advice greatly appreciated.  Budget is roughly $150-200.

You have no control over things like beachfront or oceanfront when using PRICELINE. You have to be able to accept any hotel in the zone at the star rating (or higher) you select.

 

It's better to go with HOTWIRE if this is a must. And even if the hotels is located beachfront or oceanfront, there is no guarantee that you will get a room with a nice view.

Thanks so much for your help!  Much appreciated.  I had heard from a fellow user that if we plug in 4 adults in hotwire, we have to be given a room with 2 beds if that is our preference.  But if we put in 2 adults and 2 children, they can give us a king bed because technically we all could sleep in one bed (?!?!?).  I'm going to skip priceline as we do want to be on the ocean.  Getting the view isn't a must for this particular night out.  Thanks for your help!

With Hot.wire, if you indicate 4 people, you can get two beds or 1 + sofabed or 1 + rollaway.

Please follow-up this thread with whatever you decide to do for this stay, even if not PRICELINE or HOTWIRE, you book direct, cancel the trip, etc. Ideally every topic on the board would have a 'conclusion' as it helps keep the board better organized and more useful for everyone, as well as is a courtesy to anyone who took the time to help with your trip.
