LVBlvd
Hi. I'm a newbie, but have used PL before. I'm seeking advice for a Strip hotel for Super Bowl weekend (Thurs. Feb 2-Mon. Feb. 6). I currently have a reservation at the Tropicana, but wonder if I have a shot with PL for a nicer property. Knowing Super Bowl weekend has high rates and high occupancies, I don't know if I even have a chance. Any thoughts? Thanks. Link to comment
dahammer
what is your rate at the Tropicana? What is your maximum bid? Do you want to stay on the strip? Link to comment
LVBlvd
Trop rate ranges from $65-$125 over the 4 nights. I prefer the Strip, but I'm not really sure what I'd be willing to pay for it. Apparently not a lot, since I booked the Trop. :) $150? Link to comment
LVBlvd
Anyone have suggestions? Link to comment
dahammer
you might want to post your average rate for all 4 nights and your minimum star rating. Using the EasyClickTravel Travel Search, it appears that Circus Circus is available for an average of $81, the Monte Carlo is $157, and the Tropicana is $136. In addition it looks like the Excalibur is being offered on Hotwire for $133. You might be able to do better with splitting your bid on Priceline, but that could mean 3 check in's (thursday, friday, sunday). Link to comment
LVBlvd
The average rate is $105. I'll take the Trop over Circus Circus or Excalibur and I don't want to split my stay. Priceline probably won't work this time - such a busy weekend there - and it looks like rates keep climbing. I'll stick with the Trop, I guess. Thanks. Link to comment
