I am wondering when I should bid (April, May, June) for a stay in AC in June? Thanks.

There is no "best" time to bid - rates can certainly go up or down closer to the stay, but there have been less instances of rates heading lower closer to the stay in the last few years as traffic/demand has picked up.

The best time to start bidding is when your plans are set. You can make initial low bids and move up over time.

Thanks for the follow up! My plans are set. I already bid up to $88 for 3.5 and 4 star hotels for 2 rooms in Atlantic City Area for June 21-22. I used the PRICELINE link here. No win. I only want to go up to $100 per room.

I'm pretty sure that you budget isn't going to get you a 3.5* or 4* with the curent rates for the Atlantic City Area zone. Is this the zone you're bidding at?

 

If you want to book now should you try your max at 3.5* or 4* and then move on to bidding 3* or wait and hope that the rates goes down and not up.

If you swtich your stay to Sunday nite i think you have a very good chance, but a solo Saturday nite in this zone during the start of the summer season does not seem like a high probability bet.

I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links.

If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities then what you have listed above?

This is what i'm currently seeing for the 3* hotel in the Downtown zone when searching as per above:

If this is what you're seeing, my best guess for this one would be the Bluegreen Vacations at Atlantic Palace or the Showboat... but given there is no Casino listed, i would more likely lean towards the Bluegreen Vacations at Atlantic Palace.
