annak
We are rerouting our trip from Playa del Carmen to Puerta Vallarta. Priceline was offering the Marriott for $109. Sheraton for $159. I based my first bid at 60% of their rate for the Marriott.Started bidding at $66, rejected. Priceline said if I bid $17 more I could bid right away without changing anything. I bid $83, which was accepted.Sheraton Buganvilias Resort And Towers Puerto Vallarta AreaBoulevard Francisco Medina Ascencio 999 Puerto Vallarta, Mexico 52-322-226-0404Check-In Date: Tue, Nov 15, 2005 Check-In Time: After 03:00 PM Check-Out Date: Fri, Nov 18, 2005 Check-Out Time: 12:00 PM Your Offer Price: $83.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 3 Subtotal: $249.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $47.25 Total Charges: $296.25 I was hoping to get the Marriott, but now I think I'll like the location of the Sheraton better since it's closer to Puerta Vallarta's down town area. byeloe
For future reference Priceline almost always accepts less than their counter offer.I see that there were not any free rebid zones, so you would have needed to wait 72hrs to try and undercut the counter offer Link to comment
