FloridaUser Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 This was my first time ever using Priceline, and I could not have done it without help from this site. I will be attending a conference at the Orlando Airport Hyatt, so I was hoping to land that hotel but I was flexible. My opening bid of $51 for 3.5 stars in Orlando (Airport MCO) was rejected. Priceline told me I had to wait 24 hours to increase my bid. Boo! I came back to this site for more bidding tips and found this link: Bidding Again Before 24 Hours. I was bidding on 3.5+ stars, so I found 5 other zones without 3.5 star hotels) so I could re-bid. I subsequently bid $58, $64, $71, and $76. I decided on one last bid of $84; if it wasn't accepted, I would skip the conference. I made my last bid, and it was accepted for a 70% savings * 2 nights. I could not believe it so I checked the Marriott website and confirmed the least expensive room available on those nights was $289! I saved $410 by coming to this website! Thank you!BTW, I did use the link above to get to PRICELINE. :)
