Priceline Hotel: Fort Lauderdale Trip 3/5-3/11

Looking for a hotel on the beach in FLL 3/5-3/11; have been checking out the PRICELINE EXPRESS and Name Your Own Price deals on PRICELINE.

Would prefer at least 2.5 stars, but am not picky so long as the hotel is clean.

Would like to stay under $160/night total.

Main requirement is that the hotel is on the beach, or no more than a few minutes' walk. I do want to make sure that by selecting "Fort Lauderdale- Beach Area", I'll actually receive a hotel on the beach or across the street.

Any suggestions or tips?

I wouldn't gamble for a unknown 2.5* hotel in Fort Lauderdale. This is a typical "you'll get what you pay for" town. I think your budget would be ok for a 3* but not more.

This is no guarantee. The hotel you receive can be anywhere within the shaded boundaries of the zone. Most of the hotels are very close to the beach but there are a few that aren't.
