stevo369 Posted February 10, 2014 Report Posted February 10, 2014 I AM having trouble identifying the hotels as they are all very similar. I am trying to get something close to the lifts (slopeside or short walk) and in the village. I would prefer the following properties if possible:Austria HouseLodge at VailManor VailTivoliI am willing to use Hotwire and/or PricelinePRICELINE EXPRESS: 255/night•Indoor or Outdoor Pool•Restaurant•Fitness CenterHOTWIRE: 474/nightFree Internet, Fitness Center, Business CenterI haven't tried to bid yet, any idea on trying to get the above properties?
thereuare Posted February 10, 2014 Report Posted February 10, 2014 For the PRICELINE EXPRESS property my best guess would be the Vail Cascade Resort and Spa.For the HOTWIRE property, I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links. If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities then what you have listed above? This is what i'm seeing for the 4* hotel in this zone when searching as per above for your dates:Free Internet Smoke Free Fitness Business Laundry Hi-Speed Internet Golf Tennis Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Wheelchair Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking If this is what you're seeing, the Tivoli Lodge would be my best guess for this one. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
stevo369 Posted February 10, 2014 Author Report Posted February 10, 2014 Yes, I am seeing the same amenities. It probably is Tivoli or Manor Vail, both good properties, but still a little too expensive for my blood. I am trying to stay at 350/night but If I lower star rating, the properties are all farther away, which is not to my liking. I am going to keep checking. And I am using the BiddingHelper.com above for all my requests.
thereuare Posted February 10, 2014 Report Posted February 10, 2014 Why not the 4* PRICELINE EXPRESS then? Is that property not well located enough? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. stevo369 Posted December 27, 2015 Author Report Posted December 27, 2015 I ended up Booking the Christiania (Bridge Street Lodge) because its the closest rooms to the Ski Lifts. I booked mostly on my own with the help of a realtor. Its in the center of the Village too. The rate was $250/night for a studio.
AaronJB Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 Thank you for closing the thread. In the future you can also try our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com which will show you your options near almost any location (or ski lift) in the world and the interface and filter/sort options make it easy to see how much more/less it would cost to stay near your ideal location or to go up/down in star rating. Hope you enjoyed your stay.
