Those didn't pan out. I wanted the doubletree but it is not on sale; I can book that price from booking.com. Should I wait or find somewhere else?

I wanted the doubletree but it is not on sale; I can book that price from booking.com. Should I wait or find somewhere else?

It depends how much you want the Doubletree (and are willing to pay for it) vs. being flexible and able willing to stay at some other location in order to save money.

If you do decide to book direct, please use our Priceline for the Doubletree Old Town (which is currently the same rate as booking.com)

I think I will buy the stay at the Doubletree. I have a question: Orbitz has a best price guarantee which says they will refund you the difference for your hotel stay if you find a better price; well, priceline has a better price. If I book at Orbitz and try and price match, will that work? They give you and extra $100 as well. The risk would be that they don't deem it an equal deal. Thoughts?

The Orbitz deal and the Priceline hotel deal are for different rooms as well as different cancellation terms. BRGs are a crapshoot and you can never say for certain of a company will honor a claim or not, but in this instance i think there enough difference(s) that you won't be successful.. but you're welcome to give it a shot if you'd like.
