Please provide your desired budget for airfare. Additionally, what kind of rate/s are you seeing for flights regular rate?

I wanted to spend about $250 per ticket at any of the airports nearby.

I am seeing tickets in the 400+ range at full price.

With capacity down and few empty seats on planes these dates, and this being a week when many public schools are on vacation, i think your chances of success are somewhat low; but airfare can be a hit-or-miss proposition so it's worth giving it a shot.

When bidding on airfare you have an almost unlimited number of re-bids by using the technique discussed in this Priceline Airfare Re-Bidding thread (in particular pay attention to the second post in that thread). You can therefore start at ~$150/tix and then increase $5-$25 per re-bid, greater increments near the beginning when odds are the lowest and smaller increments as you get closer to your $250 limit and your odds have increased.
