cobys Posted February 2, 2014 Author Report Posted February 2, 2014 Hello,I want to book a 5* hotel between 5/7 and 5/11.When I look at the North Strip hotels, I'm indifferent to all of them (Palazzo, Wynn, Encore, Venetian) but would like to avoid the Trump.Any ideas on bidding strategy that will help me avoid it?Thanks a lot!
AaronJB Posted February 2, 2014 Report Posted February 2, 2014 The Trump is in the different/separate Strip North Vicinity zone.In general though, there is no bidding strategy to avoid or lessen the odds of a particular property in a zone. If you bid for a particular star rating in a zone, you have to be willing to stay at any of the hotels in the zone at the star rating chosen. What would be your desired budget per night for this stay?Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
apagano Posted February 2, 2014 Report Posted February 2, 2014 You're probably better off using HOTWIRE where you can take a reasonable guess as to what property you're getting. Otherwise you're tempting fate.
AaronJB Posted February 2, 2014 Report Posted February 2, 2014 You're probably better off using Hotwire where you can take a reasonable guess as to what property you're getting. Otherwise you're tempting fate. The Trump is currently in a different zone versus the other Strip North properties. Until this changes, bidding Strip North and not Strip North Vicinity Condo is a way to avoid the Trump. The hotels that have been reported to the board can be found here: Priceline Hotel List Nevada.Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
