lippy12
Hi I am looking to stay at either the Hotel Palomar by Kimpton or The Dupont Circle Hotel. I don't want to get to the Omni because of the location. Staying in DC from the 21st to the 25th. Can you recommend how to get a good deal on either of these two hotels? Thanks Link to comment

thereuare
You can't bid on, or avoid, a specific hotel when using PRICELINE, you have to be able to accept any hotel in the zone at the star level (or higher) that you choose. With HOTWIRE you can often take an educated guess as to what is being offered based upon the amenities associated with the property, but it's still a 'best guess' and no guarantees you will receive the hotel you're hoping for. As well, HOTWIRE only shows one hotel at each star level per zone, so there is a chance the hotel you're hoping for isn't the one which is offered for your particular dates.HOTWIRE is currently offering what appears to be the Dupont Hotel for $132/nite, if that is within your budget and you're willing to accept a little risk (in the sense that it could be some other hotel)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how you'd like to proceed, and your maximum budget per nite for this trip, and we'll take it from there. lippy12
I would like to not spend more than $100/night. I noticed that when i search for Omni Shoreham on Expedia or their own websitr, for the dates i am look at it says there is no availability. Does that mean there is a pretty good chance that i wont get this one if i bid for a 4* on Priceline?Do you know what hotel the Express Deal might be on priceline? Its a 4* in Dupont Circle - Woodley Park for $128/night?Thanks! Link to comment

Does that mean there is a pretty good chance that i wont get this one if i bid for a 4* on Priceline? We have seen instances of a hotel being won thru PRICELINE or HOTWIRE when the hotel was otherwise showing a sold-out condition. This is more the exception then the rule, so you can't eliminate this entirely from the possibilities, but the odds do go down substantially if the hotel is showing sold-out on their own website.Do you know what hotel the Express Deal might be on priceline? Its a 4* in Dupont Circle - Woodley Park for $128/night?We will need the amenities to try and identify, but as your mention your bidding budget above as not willing to go over $100, are you willing to pay $128 for a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal? (even with the 5% OFF link and code in my signature (which expires tonite) you're still over $120/ntie)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. lippy12
Using the PRICELINE link from this site I ended up with the 4* Dupont Circle Hotel for $92/night. I started at 78 and worked up in $4 increments. Very happy with my win! Link to comment
