dtreidjr Posted January 29, 2014 Report Posted January 29, 2014 I do not think this is correct. I just found this site today and signed up, but have been a PRICELINE "expert" for many years, lol. Anyway, I think the hotel in the area he is speaking of is Sheraton Lake Buena Vista Resort. The Caribe Royale Orlando is located across I-4 in the "Disney Area-Lake Buena Vista East" section, not the "Disney Downtown - LAke Buena Vista" section. We stayed at the Sheraton many years ago and refer to it as the "fecal slide" now within our family because the pool was shut down for a day when a floater came down the slide after a kid, lol. Anyway, the reason I found this site was that we are going April 5-12 and bid the area with the Caribe Royale Orlando to get it. I started at 65 and went up in $5 increments and got the rooms for $85 at the CAribe Royale. Taxes and fees total $97 a night.Hard to beat that. Good luck.EDIT TO ADD: OH! Did that person bid using HOTWIRE? Ok, then I would say that's probably different then. The only thing for those dates is that it says that resort charges approx $16.95 for a resort fee. The Caribe Royale does not charge a resort fee.
