cougar_usa Posted January 28, 2014 Report Posted January 28, 2014 I tried bidding 3* or 3.5* Orange County (Disneyland - Anaheim Convention Center - Garden Grove from 2/12 to 2/16. The highest bid I tried for 3* is $79, and 3* is $85, but all failed. From the successful bids posted in this forum, people got 3* around $60, and 3.5* around $70, although in different days. Anything wrong with my bidding? Any advice on getting a successful bid is high appreciated. Thanks!

thereuare Posted January 28, 2014 Report Posted January 28, 2014 Rates are date specific, and rates for your dates may be higher than when others have won for less (and i suspect they are higher since your dates include Valentine's Day (historically a busy nite for hotels) as well as President's Weekend which in this destination will bring families on vacation taking advantage of the time off from school).With the above noted you're likely not too far off from a win... i think a 3.5* will likely run you $110-$130 or a 3* hotel in the $90-$100 range.Let us know your thoughts and how you would like to proceed and we'll take it from there.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
