ufgrad98 Posted January 27, 2014 Report Posted January 27, 2014 Hello. I am looking at travelling 3/17-20 to NYC and staying in a 4 Star hotel in Midtown Central. I need two rooms (we have 2 adults and 3 children total). I just input the information into Hotwire and it gave me this hotel:4* Midtown Central ($371 - $194/night)85% recommendedFree InternetPet friendlyRestaurant(s)Business CenterSelf service laundryAccessibility for the deaf, accessible path of travel, roll in showerTripAdvisor 4 out of 5.0Can you help identify this hotel? (in addition to the Free Internet already listed)? If so, my best guess for this property would be the City Club Hotel. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. thereuare Posted January 28, 2014 Report Posted January 28, 2014 Best guess for the MTC property would be the City Club Hotel and for the MTE property my guess would be the InterContinental The Barclay. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. ufgrad98 Posted January 28, 2014 Author Report Posted January 28, 2014 Thank you! Any input on which one is better for families? Cant decide between the two.
thereuare Posted January 28, 2014 Report Posted January 28, 2014 I don't know that much about the City Club as it has only started to appear on the board, but the reviews look to be very good and the location is excellent (a few different subway stops all within 2-3 blocks). Room size may vary greatly at this property (as with many hotels in NYC) but i think the rooms on average may be a bit smaller than those at the InterContinental and the rooms at the Barclay may be a bit more 'polished' and slightly higher-end.Neither looks like it would be a bad choice and it likely comes down to what is important to you... a slightly better location (City Club) vs. a slightly nicer and more spacious room (InterContinental Barclay). Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes.
