Hotwire Hotel: DC Hotels in Capitol Hill area for Feb

I am looking at hotels on Hotwire for business travel for two nights, Feb 9 & 10, 2014. There are three quotes from Hotwire:

$71 (reg $207) Captol Hill National Mall area. 3 Star

Ammenities listed: Free Internet, Pool(s), Fitness Center, Business Center and more.

60% recommended

The other hotel is $148, 4 Star in Capitol Hill National Mall area (reg $289)

Ammenities include: Interne Access, Pool(s), Fitness Center, Business Center and more

I don't seem to see the longer list of ammenties that I see posted on the possible Hotwire hotel lists.

I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links.

If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities then what you have listed above?

Okay, so using the BiddingHelper.com link, and looking under the Hotel Easy View tab, I see the following for the area I am interested in:

4 Star Capitol Hill/National Mall for $114/night with the following:

FULL AMENITIES: Indoor pool(s), Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet access, Tennis Nearby, Accessible for the blind, Accessible path of travel, Accessible bathroom, Handicapped parking

and

3 Star Capitol Hill/National Mall $66/night

FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Self service laundry, Internet access, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Handicapped parking, Roll-in shower

Any ideas on possible hotels?

For the 4* my best guess would be the Grand Hyatt Washington.

I'm not currently seeing any 3* hotel listed in this zone when searching HOTWIRE for your dates, are you still seeing this one offered on your own search? If so, are you searching for more than one room or something other than the default 2adults/0children?

Well now, none of the options I was looking at yesterday are coming up today. Is it because I am within a 14-day window? I may have to look at Crystal City and take the Metro to my meetings.

Listings can come and go at any time (there is not a specific time-frame that listings show within.) It is all a matter of inventory; listings can show all the way up until your stay or change the next day.

The Capitol Skyline Hotel would be my best guess for this 3* property.
