Lincoln Park is not the best choice in the middle of Winter if you are going to be downtown a lot, as it's bitterly cold in Chicago right now.However, in the Summer, Lincoln Park is a great area to browse around, with the zoo and Old Town nearby, as well as a ton of restaurants and shops nearby.
