Fred Muzzi Posted January 28, 2014 Author Report Posted January 28, 2014 I just reply on the topic with what I end up doing. Now can you help me with the request on on San Francisco? Regards
AaronJB Posted January 28, 2014 Report Posted January 28, 2014 A 3.5* in a central area (USE/USW, for example) is unlikely under $100. You're probably looking at at least around $105-115, if not moderately higher.Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted January 28, 2014 Report Posted January 28, 2014 Which zone(s) are you willing to accept? You may be able to get a 3* in the Fisherman's Wharf zone for ~$100... or a 3.5* hotel in the USE/USW zone for $100-$120.Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll advise accordingly. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Fred Muzzi Posted January 28, 2014 Author Report Posted January 28, 2014 Hello. I'm willing to accept the following regions: Financial District, Fisherman's Wharf, Lombard Street, SOMA and Union Square. What is the best price I can get on a 3.5*?RegardsFred
thereuare Posted January 28, 2014 Report Posted January 28, 2014 To avoid any confusion please list the zones by PRICELINE name... for example, are both USE and USW acceptable? (since listed only as 'Union Square')Please confirm the zones and we will suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Thanks. thereuare Posted January 29, 2014 Report Posted January 29, 2014 Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread.Best guess for the HOTWIRE hotel would be the Hotel Union Square or the Hotel Triton.A 3.5* in a central area (USE/USW, for example) is unlikely under $100. You're probably looking at at least around $105-115, if not moderately higher. You may be able to get a 3* in the Fisherman's Wharf zone for ~$100... or a 3.5* hotel in the USE/USW zone for $100-$120.What is the best price I can get on a 3.5*?AaronJB and I both gave similar price ranges for the star ratings above... so we don't suggest a strategy that goes higher than you're willing to pay, how high are you willing to bid for a 3.5* property?... or do you want to go with the 3.5* HOTWIRE property? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Fred Muzzi Posted January 30, 2014 Author Report Posted January 30, 2014 Just to inform I tried all above regions from 110 up to 120 and didn't got it on the 3.5*. I will try tomorrow the 3*. Regards
thereuare Posted January 30, 2014 Report Posted January 30, 2014 What is your maximum bid at the 3* level? For $6 more per nite why not go for the 3.5* USE above which has a good 4.0/5.0 TA rating too? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Fred Muzzi Posted February 1, 2014 Author Report Posted February 1, 2014 Just to inform that I closed the deal for 111 per night + tax and fees for a 3* at Fisherman's. The hotel is Da Vince Villa, and as far as I read at TripAdvisor is not very good. The discount over Hotels.com is very little for the surprise factor (<15%). Big investment for 6 nights.Hope I get a better deal next time. ThanksFred
thereuare Posted February 1, 2014 Report Posted February 1, 2014 Thank you for sharing your win with the board and helping us add this property to the Priceline Hotel List.Sorry to hear you are underwhelmed by the deal you received, but hopefully you'll enjoy your stay and find it to be a good value for the price paid. Please use the requested PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your future travel purchases. Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
