thereuare Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 id like to stay in the revere hotel...You can't bid on a specific hotel when using PRICELINE, you have to be able to accept any hotel in the zone at the star level (or higher) that you choose. With HOTWIRE you can often take an educated guess as to what is being offered based upon the amenities associated with the property, but it's still a 'best guess' and no guarantees you will receive the hotel you're hoping for. As well, HOTWIRE only shows one hotel at each star level per zone, so there is a chance the hotel you're hoping for isn't the one which is offered for your particular dates.id like to stay in the revere hotel...what are the 4 stars in boston common? You can see all hotels reported to the board in the Priceline and Hotwire Hotel Lists... but be sure to read the comments at the top of each list as they should never be considered finite as new hotels are added, and upgrades/downgrades occur, all the time. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know your thoughts and how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. Lenfin Posted January 24, 2014 Author Report Posted January 24, 2014 I have had a look at both lists of 4 stars in Boston Common. To me all of the hotels look nice although I would be least keen on the Hyatt Regency.not sure if I can try and avoid that one by the list of amenities.I know there is still a chance I could get it and if I do so be it :-)Revere and Nine Kempton are preferential - are there any amenities that set these apartto try identify them? Again I understand its chance to take. Is my best option to bid on priceline for a 4 star in this area for the best deal?

Again I understand its chance to take. I'm not sure that I fully understand your questions here. Are you referring to PRICELINE or HOTWIRE? Nine Zero Kempton is never reported as a HOTWIRE hotel to the board. If you need any ID help for a HOTWIRE hotel so please list the amenities HOTWIRE associates with the hotel you're looking at and we'll be happy to have a look at this. You can't bid on or avoid a specific hotel when using PRICELINE You have to be able to accept any hotel in the zone at the star rating (or higher) you select. Is my best option to bid on priceline for a 4 star in this area for the best deal? Most of the times can you undercut the HOTWIRE prices with bidding on PRICELINE. So you need to decide if the money or have a "best guess" for the name of the hotel is most important to you.Let us know your thoughts and we'll go from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchases and searches.Yellowdog.

Lenfin Posted January 24, 2014 Author Report Posted January 24, 2014 Sorry I don't understand you when you say there are 9 rebid zones. My $120 bod got rejected and when I go to make another bit there are 18 'areas to add' How do I no what ones to tick for these 9 zones?
thereuare Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 Have you read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained? If you have already read that thread and are still confused, try this:1) Use the PRICELINE search box on the upper right of this page, enter 'Boston, MA' and your dates, and click "GO".2) List each zone that is offered in this region. 3) Next to each zone list the highest star rating offered in the zone. The way to determine the highest star rating offered in the zone is by selecting the first zone i the list, then scrolling down to see the highest star rating selectable (ie- not greyed out). NEXT UNcheck the selected zone, place a checkmark in the next zone, and repeat the process for each zone in the region. Each time you take note of the highest star rating in the zone, make sure that only ONE zone is selected above.4) post your findings and we'll take it from thereIf you don't follow the above just post back and we'll break it down further. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
