Priceline Hotel: 4 or 4.5* in Poipu

Hi again! I have been combing through the thread to look for a bidding strategy and I was wondering if you could provide me with some direction. I noticed on hotwire that there is a $192 for 4.5* (I'm guessing the hyatt) and $175 for a 4* (probably sheraton). I'm really hoping to use priceline to get a lower price. I was thinking something around $160-170s for the hyatt or $150 for the 4*. It's a little harder to bid for the 4* since I don't really have a rebid zone. I've gone up to $175 for the 4.5 star and no dice, at this point I'm wonder if it makes more sense to just book through HOTWIRE. Please let me know what you think! As usual I'll be using your links to browse and book!

How much more do you want a 4.5* vs. a 4* and how much are you willing to pay for a 4.5* vs. a 4*?

The question was in reference to the fact that you had already bid up to $175 for a 4.5* hotel... how much higher do you want to bid before trying for a 4* hotel? (ie- just to pick a number, if the 4* is $140, would you prefer to try for that before bidding higher at the 4* level OR just take the HOTWIRE offer)

Hope you're pleased with the hotel and deal you received.

Can you please add a reply to this thread confirming the star rating, hotel name, and amenities associated with the property you won... you can still view this information by going to HOTWIRE and clicking the MY ACCOUNT link near the top right of their home page.
