Priceline Hotel: 3* Fort Lauderdale (Airport FLL) Springhill Suites by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Airport

We need airport transportation and are leery of some hotels. I have tried different times with a bid up to $100 on the 3.5 star FLL Airport category but have not gotten a winning bid.

We DO have a La Quinta booked for a total of $134.xx - so I'd like to try to bid and get a nicer hotel for that price or less, if possible.

I don't mind the 3* hotels but wonder what other bids have been and what they have.

Can anyone give me information on what hotel and bid you won it at?

I was not having luck bidding either. went on hotwire and got Best Western Plus FLL Inn and Suites for $106 fees in. I know that is not above a 3 star, but i was glad to get a room that was not going to cost an arm and a leg lol. good luck!

There are a multitude of ways to search for previous wins on the board:

1) on the bottom row on the right side of the blue header at the top of the board, enter 'Lauderdale Airport' and change the drop down menu to QUICK SEARCH and you'll see all previous wins for this area

2) search the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins

3) go to our Priceline Maps, search for Fort Lauderdale, find the AIRPORT heading and next to each hotel click the VIEW link, you'll see all reported wins for that property

With the above noted, it looks like a 3.5* will cost more than $100, but i believe you will likely be successful for a 3* at $100 or less, do you want to continue bidding higher for a 3.5* up to your back-up reservation rate at the La Quinta OR do you prefer a lesser priced 3* hotel for this nite?

Can you please add your win to the board as a NEW TOPIC so that others will be aware of your win when searching the topic titles on the board and in the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins.

In your post please include the star rating, city, zone, hotel name, room rate per nite, dates of your stay and amenities shown before your purchase... you can still view all of this information by going to HOTWIRE and clicking the MY ACCOUNT link near the top right of their home page.

Also, please follow-up your previous Priceline Disney thread with whatever you ended up doing for that trip.

I did read the My Messages. I've used Priceline before - but wasn't a member of Better Bidding. (I should've found this site and joined a long time ago!)

I don't mind bidding on a 3* hotel at all. Our number 1 concern is that we need transportation. Or I should say we really want it....there are companies we could use, but I'd prefer to have it offered from the hotel.

I'll try bidding on a 3* today and see what I can get. Possibly start around.....$80? if not, I think I may attempt to grab the HOTWIRE deal at Best Western.

When bidding 3* in this region you have ONE re-bid zone. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

With time on your side I would bid over 3 days as follows:

Select 3* Airport FLL...

Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $80

If the above is rejected wait 24 hours between each pair of bids with the following bids:

$85/$90

$95/$100

Each time please use the requested PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding (and NOT the links in any emails that PRICELINE may send informing you that you're eligible to bid again)

I started at $100 for 3.5* and was turned down. Re-bid with adding on 3* in the same area FLL airport and won with my $95 bid.
