steelers33 Posted January 20, 2014 Report Posted January 20, 2014 Hey all.First off, let me start by saying that I have read this forum for the past few years when booking hotels but this is my first post. I find it to be very informative and am thankful to the moderators for their time and dedication to provide valuable travel information. We looking for a 2 night hotel stay for February 21st and 22nd, somewhere between Ft. Lauderdale and Miami as we leave for a cruise on the 23rd out of Miami. We fly into Ft. Lauderdale and are renting a car so hotel shuttle service is not required.Obviously, I would like to get the best bang for our buck and any help that can be provided would be greatly appreciated. We are not looking for 5* accommodations. Preferably something close to the beach, clean, and with great reviews. Thanks
yellowdog Posted January 20, 2014 Report Posted January 20, 2014 Welcome to BetterBidding!Great to see that you like the board. It would be appreciated if you started to post your bookings so all members can gain from the information like you do? Feel free to post old bookings on the board. It's good for the history. How do you want to play this, do you want to go with HOTWIRE or PRICELINE? Also let us know your preferred star rating and budget/night before tax/fees. We also need to know the location/zone(s) you're willing to stay in.It's only a short drive between Fort Lauderdale and Miami and "nothing special" along the way. Hollywood Beach is close to Fort Luderdale but the beach is far better in Fort Lauderdale. Let us know your thoughts and we'll go from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchases and searches.Yellowdog.
steelers33 Posted January 20, 2014 Author Report Posted January 20, 2014 It does not matter to me if I use HOTWIRE or PRICELINE. Having said that, I frequent and am more familiar with PRICELINE.I am in the 3+ star, $100.00 price range. We arrive late on the 21st so we are basically looking for a place to rest and relax before the cruise.
yellowdog Posted January 20, 2014 Report Posted January 20, 2014 I am in the 3+ star, $100.00 price rangeSorry to say that $100 don't take you far this very expensive weekend. I think you're looking closer to $200/night + tax/fees/parking for 3* beach hotel.Yellowdog.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchases and searches.
AaronJB Posted January 20, 2014 Report Posted January 20, 2014 This weekend is expensive, but if you are flexible on being near the beach, you could get something relatively nice for around or under $100 - there is a 3.5* in Weston-Plantation-Davie on HOTWIRE for $106 for these date/s - you may see a slightly different price.Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 ... and if you haven't yet please read your messages.Thanks. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
