bookhound Posted January 20, 2014 Author Report Posted January 20, 2014 Had tried unsuccessfully via regular bidding for 3*, 3/12*, and 4* going up to 65.00 for Redwood City-San Carlos, Palo Alto, Mountain View (also West San Jose --- no 3*). Not sure if this has been discussed previously, but apparently dependent on my bidding history, different express deals for a 21/2* in Redwood City were offered: One for 81.00, the other for 67.00.Both looked identical, i.e. Includes free Breakfast, Free Internet, Free Parking, Fitness center, Business center, guest favorite: 8The reviews for the Fairfield aren't stellar, but how bad can it be for one night?

bookhound Posted January 20, 2014 Author Report Posted January 20, 2014 Have you ever noticed that different PRICELINE EXPRESS Deals show up AT THE SAME TIME depending on one's bidding history, or is this random?
AaronJB Posted January 20, 2014 Report Posted January 20, 2014 I believe it's random, but no idea for sure how deals are presented based upon how you access them (after bidding first, etc.)Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 To clarify... did you win this by bidding OR did you purchase the PRICELINE EXPRESS property when it was offered for $67/nite? bookhound Posted January 30, 2014 Author Report Posted January 30, 2014 I purchased it as a PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal --- I believe that I had Express Deal in the original subject line. The original Express Deal was for 81.00. Once my bidding reached 65.00 in various combinations, the Express Deal for 67.00 popped up. Previously, there had been a PRICELINE counter offer for a 3.5* which I had not taken.
