yellowdog Posted January 18, 2014 Report Posted January 18, 2014 I can't get the same PRICELINE EXPRESS hotel to appear on my search. Can you please run a new search and confirm that you still can see this hotel on your searchPlease use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchases and searches.Yellowdog.
thereuare Posted January 18, 2014 Report Posted January 18, 2014 Dates, 23rd June- 28th June. 2ad/2ChI'm not seeing this property either, but do note that all PRICELINE products are for DOUBLE OCCUPANCY ONLY... you can't search PRICELINE EXPRESS for 2adults/2children. It is generally considered risky to book a room in NYC at double occupancy when you'll be more than this as rooms are notoriously small and a high percentage of rooms only have one bed, and rooms with two beds are often considered an upgrade. If you're not willing to take the risk, HOTWIRE may still be an option as they allow you to search for up to quad occupancy and guarantees sleeping accommodations for everyone that you include in the search. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
yvettebt Posted January 19, 2014 Author Report Posted January 19, 2014 Hi, It's not coming up any more. It only came up for that day & I have been checking & it has not come up again. I appreciate your advice & will stick to Hot.wire when looking for quad occupancy. I will let you know when I have a winning bid. Thanx again. Yvettebt

yvettebt Posted February 26, 2014 Author Report Posted February 26, 2014 Hello, ( once again ) Saw this today, MSG, 6/22 - 6/28 2 ad & 2 ch 2.5 star $147 p/n FULL AMENITIES: Free Breakfast, Free Internet, Business Center, Internet access Could it be Holiday inn Express New York west side as per forum. Thanx, Yvette
AaronJB Posted February 26, 2014 Report Posted February 26, 2014 This listing has not yet been ID'd/reported to the board yet, but the Holiday Inn Express may be a possibility. Are you looking for something in particular? Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
yvettebt Posted February 27, 2014 Author Report Posted February 27, 2014 Hi, Looking for something around Time Square, Mad square garden. Around 2.5 star +. Want something with a good rating/reviews. We are a family of 4 from Aus & never been to NYC before. I have used Hotwire/Priceline before & have been happy with my wins, just like to get a rough idea though on the Hotel that I could be possibly be bidding on. Thanx, Yvette.
AaronJB Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 Times Square is arguably the most "popular" area when it comes to NYC, but it's expensive and hectic/crowded. There is SO much throughout the city - I'd visit TS, but I would not focus on a hotel near there. MTE and ESB are also very nice areas. Thank you for keeping us updated. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 Are you including 2adults/2chidlren in your searches as i'm generally seeing rates a little higher than you've posted. What is your maximum budget per nite for leg of your trip? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. yvettebt Posted February 27, 2014 Author Report Posted February 27, 2014 Hi, Yes bidding on 2ad/2ch. Open minded to where we stay, as long as its not to far out from the city & we can travel there by public transport. Looking at around the $200 ish if I can find something. Thanx, Yvette,
AaronJB Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 Personally, I would stay within the city if it is in your budget, as it's a much nicer experience to be able to walk out and be in the city versus having to take time at the beginning and end of each day to travel back and forth (plus, transit costs traveling outside the city.) In terms of the above listings that have been ID'd, do they not appeal? The 2.5* with breakfast (which is relatively rare in NYC) is a reasonable price and gets 95% approval from Hot.wire customers. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
