Was trying for the Doubletree in Rancho Bernardo, but didn't want to bid too high. Bid History:

1st Bid - $55 3 1/2 Stars -Rancho Bernardo - Rejected

2nd Bid - $60 3 1/2 Stars - Added Miramar-Poway-Penasquitos zone (there are no 3 1/2 stars there)- Rejected

3rd Bid - dropped to $51 and changed to 3 stars - Rejected

4th Bid - $58 3 Stars, added National City (no 3 stars there), bid accepted

I'm find with this outcome. I've stayed in the Rancho Bernardo area many times for around $50 for 3 star (and once at the RB Inn for $65), and the hotels are all very comparable to each other.

I would like to add (without making another auto post) that I was able to add a mid-size car for $21 per day through Hertz, whom I had already tried to get a reservation through my Gold Card and couldn't find lower than $57 a day.

I used the BetterBidding PRICELINE link, of course
