AaronJB
Getting a hotel for family members making a stop on the way to (unfortunately/sadly) a funeral. This was an unexpectedly rough bit of bidding. There apparently must have been a convention or some gathering going on nearby, as a number of suburban hotels were either sold out or outrageous. Bidding property took 30 minutes or more and this result was when I was close to out of options. They said it was a very nice hotel and that the lots of all the hotels they passed nearby appeared full. Nice looking area, it seems - large mall a couple of doors down, Sams Club and other things right down the street. Can't tell how good a deal I got because actually no sites had regular rate availability. Still, while on the high side for the area, given the traffic I feel lucky I was able to get anything at a halfway decent price, let alone something that apparently was a very nice hotel.used PRICELINE link.
