Priceline Hotel: NY 4.5* price line bidding for MTW may1st to 10th

Hi

I wanted to get an idea of how to bid for a 4*- 4.5* hotel in MTW preferably. would I be able to get something within $200. I am travelling for 9 nights from 1st may to 10th may this year

I will be travelling to NY from May 1st to 10th and would like to stay around times square preferably MTW however I am open to suggestions too :). I would like to know how to bid for 4.5* hotel within that area. would a budget of upto $200 be enough?

Spring is an expensive time of year in NYC and at current rates $200 will not likely be enough for a 4.5* hotel in the MTW zone... a 4.5* hotel in this zone would likely be closer to the $275 area. However, you should be able to get a 4* hotel in this general vicinity (assuming you're willing to include other nearby zones) in the $190-$210 area (although i would of course start a little lower and work your way higher)

Given the above, let us know what star rating, zones, and maximum bid you'd like to try for first and we'll advise accordingly.

Are you referring to a 4* or 4.5* hotel?

At the 4* level MTE, MTW, TS, MSG, and ESB all typically work well for the average visitor. Chelsea can also be an option even though some parts of the zone can be a bit west, it is 'happening' area with a good NYC vibe, so ultimately you need to decide if staying in this 'in' area is worth the trade-off of the possibility of being a little further from the subway.
