I'm going to be traveling to NYC in mid April staying for 2 nights. I've been to NYC a couple of times so I don't have to hit all the tourist attractions. I am interested in going to Central Park, the Met and a broadway play. I've been looking on Priceline and trying to figure out which area to stay in and get a good price. I'd like to pay no more than $100/night if possible. The areas I was looking at are:

Central Park South

Midtown West

Midtown East

Times Square

Madison Square Garden

Empire State Building

I'm a young woman traveling alone so I don't want to stay any place sketchy. Cleanliness and a comfortable bed are my only requirements. Breakfast would be a plus as well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

Please confirm the specific date/s of travel. I do think $100 is going to be unlikely in mid-April, but we would be happy to take a look and research availability for your specific date/s.

Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

At current rates $100 is not realistic for a 3* hotel in one of the zones above.... something in the $145-$165 is more realistic at this point in time.

Using our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com, what is the best deal you're able to find thru conventional booking channels for an acceptable hotel in one of these zones?
