raenic Posted January 12, 2014 Report Posted January 12, 2014 Good day folks, I'm booking my first Vegas trip and I'm seeking help identifying this hotel! I'm hoping to find a deal at an MGM hotel such as Luxor, Grand, Monte Carlo, and my personal hope is Mandalay Bay. yellowdog Posted January 12, 2014 Report Posted January 12, 2014 Welcome to BetterBidding :) I think there may be more amenities associated with this property. If you go back to HOTWIRE and click this offer to get to the details page, then on the details page click the BOOK NOW button, to the right of the ensuing page under TRIP SUMMARY hover your mouse over the 'See more' link... do you see more amenities then what you included above? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchases and searches.Yellowdog.

AaronJB Posted January 12, 2014 Report Posted January 12, 2014 I'd guess Luxor.Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
raenic Posted January 13, 2014 Author Report Posted January 13, 2014 Would you guys recommend that I try to lock something down right away or look for last minute deals with the hotels?
thereuare Posted January 13, 2014 Report Posted January 13, 2014 Nobody can say if rates will come down, or move higher, between now and your stay? How does this rate compare to similarly rated hotels you can get for your dates? What is your maximum budget per nite for this trip? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. raenic Posted January 13, 2014 Author Report Posted January 13, 2014 Our goal is to get into one of the nicer MGM hotels (because he also gets a free room upgrade upon checkin) for 50-75 a night average USD (not including tax or fees). The person I'm meeting there has a platinum card with Mlife, but the only good deal he can get through their site currently is Excalibur for $35.6 a night (total of 214 not including tax). Just hoping to get something a little bit nicer than the Excal for my first visit.I see some people getting the Aria for $80, now that would be a dream come true haha!Thank you again for the responses guys, much appreciated.
thereuare Posted January 13, 2014 Report Posted January 13, 2014 I see some people getting the Aria for $80, now that would be a dream come true haha!... but if your maximum budget is $75 you're not even giving yourself a chance at this. ;)Rates for your complete stay are not high, but it will take a little more than $80 for something very nice... how about the Vdara for $105/nite? Would this be worth stretching your budget for... or do you prefer something not as nice for less? (please note that in our Support Page we have links to all of the MGM properties, please check for and use the links there if you ultimately decide to purchase direct)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. raenic Posted January 13, 2014 Author Report Posted January 13, 2014 I think for us, we'd be happy with the likes of Monte Carlo, Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand, or Mirage. Our goal is something a little nicer than Excal or Luxor on a budget. Thanks for your response!
AaronJB Posted January 13, 2014 Report Posted January 13, 2014 The issue becomes only one (or sometimes two) properties show for each star rating for each set of date/s. It may not be the one (or one/s) you are looking for. Mandalay Bay and the Mirage, in particular, have not been reported to the board in a while. Are you seeing a different listing of interest within your desired budget on HOTWIRE?Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
raenic Posted February 16, 2014 Author Report Posted February 16, 2014 I'm kind of disappointed we didn't get an MGM hotel, but I suppose this is a decent deal for a week during spring break.
yellowdog Posted February 16, 2014 Report Posted February 16, 2014 Thank you for sharing your result with the board!Enjoy your stay even if you didn't get the MGM.Please use the board's PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your purchases and searchesYellowdog.
