Priceline Hotel: 3.5* - 4* Bidding Advice - Feb 3 to Feb 11

Hello all,

I'm new to Priceline and BetterBidding, but both seem awesome.

I'll be spending a week in San Francisco this February and wanted to book a hotel. My budget is $100 but I'm willing to go up to $110 if something really good comes up. Do you think its possible to book a 3.5* or 4* hotel for this little? If so, what bidding strategy should I follow?

Which areas would be acceptable? Unfortunately, a 3.5-4* for $100-110 for these date/s appears unlikely. Fisherman's Wharf is probably not going to be that far above your desired levels (there is a 4* on HOTWIRE in that zone for $132 and a 3.5* for $138 - otherwise, everything else appears more towards $170-200 or higher.

most areas near downtown would be acceptable, as long as they are *safe*.

I found this through HOTWIRE, its a 3* hotel located in "Japantown - Civic Center North" charging $89, would you have any idea which hotel it could be? (I'd be using a link from this site to book)

Amenities include:

Free Breakfast

Free Internet

Fitness Center

Restaurant(s)

Business Center

Self service laundry

I believe there may have been more amenities than you listed in your post. HOTWIRE has a new interface which is not currently showing the complete set of amenities at the usual point of the search process.

Please run a new search using the BiddingHelper.com.com tool at the top of this page. Once the search is completed, use the EASY VIEW TAB and click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing to view the complete set of amenities. Then copy and paste the amenities, as well as the price, in a reply to this thread and we will then have a look at this offer.

This is what I see when I replicate your search,

If this what you see would my guess be that we're looking at a new amenity combo for Opal Hotel.
