pmatawan Posted January 11, 2014 Report Posted January 11, 2014 There are great rates for Car Rentals in San Diego for 4 days beginning Feb.16th or 17th, but I need a car for 5 days 2/16/14-2/21/14). For 4 day rentals I see prices of $4.95 a day beginning either 2/16 or 2/17, but there are no good rates for a 5 day rental. 5 day rates are over $30./day. Is there a way I can hook up a 4 day & a 1 day rental(assuming I get the same rental company) and not have to return to the airport to return & pick up a new car? Any suggestions?

thereuare Posted January 12, 2014 Report Posted January 12, 2014 Even if you were to make two purchases and receive the same rental company, in all likelihood you would need to actually return the car to the rental company and then begin a new rental (including all the paperwork that goes with a new contact)Will you be near the airport for the first (or last) day of your trip that making an extra trip to the airport to return your current vehicle and then start a new rental would be feasible? The only other option i could see is making the 4 day rental purchase and then returning the vehicle 'late' which would then subject you to the rental company's fee for doing so... usually the 'rack' rate for one rental day (as well some companies now also change an extra administrative fee of ~$10 for not returning the car on time). Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help.
