Welcome to BetterBidding :)

To get you started.

how i get good rates for rooms
You need to search the HOTWIRE site to see if you find any 4* hotel within your budget. Current prices for 4* hotels looks to be between $200-$250(+tax/fee's)/night for your dates depending on the zone. Are you ok with the price?
also I want to be close to times square or 5th avenue shopping , so can u plz guide me
If you look at the HOTWIRE map for NYC can you see that there is several zones very close to Times Square. I think zones like Midtown East, Midtown Central, Empire State Building etc will serve your purpose. Have look at the HOTWIRE map and let us know what you think and we'll break down this further for you.

Yellowdog.

PS. When searching for HOTWIRE hotels is it very important that you include your complete party (2 adults + 2 children).

What is your desired budget per night for this stay? Unfortunately, this is a busier and more expensive time period due to nicer weather and possibly some graduations going on around this time. As note above, you're looking at rates on HOTWIRE at the 4* level of $225-250 and higher for midtown.

For each listing:

I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links.

If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com.com tool... use the HOTW.IRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities then what you have listed above?

Additionally, you can also see all of the hotels reported to the board here: Hotwire Hotel List New York.

sid5171,

I believe I am seeing the same amenities as you, but i will re-list each and my best guess/comments for each:

4* MTC

Restaurant, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible

--> Park Central New York Hotel

4* ESB

Boutique, Restaurant, Business, Laundry, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Roll-in Shower

--> Kitano NYC

4* UWS

Restaurant, Fitness, Free Internet, Business, Laundry, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Roll-in Shower

--> The Lucerne

4* TS

Restaurant, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Roll-in Shower, Pet Friendly

--> very common amenities for NYC so i'm not able to narrow this one down to a reasonable number of guesses

Of these, the Kitano gets the best reviews and is likely the nicest of the bunch.
