missvalarie22 Posted January 9, 2014 Report Posted January 9, 2014 Hello, I am new to the site and wanted to check in to be sure I am using it correctly. I am looking to book a hotel room for less than $100 ideally in walking distance to downtown Nashville but am finding that this is not possible. I am ready to venture out to a 2 mile-ish radius. Is the best thing to put in my request to Priceline and Hotwire and then copy it to this thread for an enducated guess at the hotel?Thank you in advance for your help!Val

missvalarie22 Posted January 9, 2014 Author Report Posted January 9, 2014 Do I provide this information to you or enter into the 2 websites and then cut and paste the results?
thereuare Posted January 9, 2014 Report Posted January 9, 2014 BOTH... we need the details of your stay (dates, city, zone) and the details of the offer showed by either service (star rating, price, amenities associates with the property offered).Does that clarify things a bit? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. missvalarie22 Posted January 10, 2014 Author Report Posted January 10, 2014 Thanks for helping. We are looking at downtown Nashville in walking distance to the bars on Broadway from Thursday, February 20th- Monday, February 24th for less than $200. We stayed at Millenium Maxwell House Hotel last year and it was terrible. We are trying to avoid that by any means and want a higher quality hotel. Does this mean I should be picking 4 star + only? Here is what PRICELINE EXPRESS is giving me:3 Star Hotel in Downtown - Metro Center Area for $166/nightGuaranteed Amenities:Free Internet in roomPets AllowedRestaurantBusiness CenterFitness CenterIt seems that there is no option for 4 star? Thanks again!
missvalarie22 Posted January 10, 2014 Author Report Posted January 10, 2014 I just checked HOTWIRE and the prices are crazy high so it is not even worth transfering the info. :) Do you know if there is a reason the hotels are soo expensive for that particular weekend? Thanks again!
thereuare Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 I don't know what is happening over these dates but if rates are higher than usual than some event is taking place over these dates that is driving up hotel demand (and therefore prices)You can also search our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com which will show you hotels near almost any address in the world, and makes it easy to sort/filter to see how much more/less it would cost to go up/down in star level OR to stay closer/further from your ideal location... it will also give you a realistic snapshot of 'regular' rates for your specific dates. For the PRICELINE EXPRESS property above the Hotel Indigo would be my best guess for this one... would this be convenient for your needs? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
