Mithun Posted January 8, 2014 Author Report Posted January 8, 2014 Actually I was wondering how does one get to the HBLR light rail stop from the hotel - is Google map accurate as in you have to cross over the PATH stop. I will be with a toddler on a stroller so am a bit apprehensive as to what I have got myself into now.
thereuare Posted January 9, 2014 Report Posted January 9, 2014 You don't need to cross any train tracks... the PATH is underground (at least the Hoboken section) and the LightRail above ground. You would get to the LightRail by going into the NJ Transit Train Station, bypassing the trains, and follow the signs. It's not difficult, but do be aware that you have to buy a ligthrail ticket AND stamp/validate it when you're ready to ride. You don't have to show your ticket to anyone unless asked (sometimes they will have enforcement offices on the train who ask OR make everyone show upon exiting the train), but it's not enough to just have a ticket, as it needs to be stamped (and then it's good for travel for something like 2 hours from the time stamped, but don't quote me on that part)Where are you going (if i may ask) that you're taking the lightrail, as it's not that well utilized from Hoboken, so there may be a better route to wherever you are headed.
