AaronJB Posted January 7, 2014 Report Posted January 7, 2014 If you:1) search HOTWIRE and select the offer from the search results page2) click the BOOK NOW button3) in the TRIP SUMMARY BOX click the 'See more' link at the end of the amenitiesDo you see additional amenities for both?for the Water Tower, I'm seeing:Pet friendlyIndoor pool(s)Smoke Free RoomsFitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)Business CenterInternet accessAccessible path of travelIn-room accessibilityAccessible bathroomRoll-in showerI'd guess this is the Omni. For the Mag Mile-RN, I'm seeing as the full set:Free InternetPet friendlyFitness CenterRestaurant(s)Business CenterInternet accessSpa ServicesAccessible for the blindAccessible for the deafAccessible path of travelIn-room accessibilityAccessible bathroomHandicapped parkingRoll-in showerThis would be a potential match for the James.Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted January 7, 2014 Report Posted January 7, 2014 I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links.NOTE that to see the complete amenities associated with each you will need to do the following:1) search HOTWIRE and select the offer from the search results page2) click the BOOK NOW button3) in the TRIP SUMMARY BOX click the 'See more' link at the end of the amenitiesThis is what i'm seeing for the 4.5* River North property:Free Internet Pet Friendly Fitness Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Spa Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower --> my best guess for this one would be the James HotelFor the 4.5* Water Tower property this is the amenity set i'm seeing:Pet Friendly Indoor Pool Smoke Free Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Roll-in Shower --> my guess here would be the Omni Chicago HotelPlease use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. AaronJB Posted January 7, 2014 Report Posted January 7, 2014 Congrats on your success. :)I think you made a good choice. The Omni is a very nice property RIGHT on Michigan Ave near the center of the Michigan Ave area. It's a pretty easy walk to restaurants and nightlife in River North and there's also a CTA stop within easy walking distance. Normally I wouldn't suggest you would need to be close to CTA transit, but the weather has been pretty rough lately. Plus, nice Whole Foods a few blocks East for snacks/drinks. Let me know if you have any city questions. Also, while the Omni is pretty much an all-suite property, I do think there are a few smaller (studio?) rooms. Even if you get one of those, still nice, but the majority of the property is suites.Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
sudi Posted January 7, 2014 Author Report Posted January 7, 2014 Thanks, AaronWe visit Chicago at least once or twice a year and generally stick around the Michigan St. area. My wife was wondering if there's anywhere nearby with a more "boutique" feel, smaller/local shops? I read that Lincoln Park might fit the bill, but I was hoping you might have some suggestions. Thanks again
