Priceline Hotel: Priceline Rooms

Can anyone advise as to what types of rooms are typically awarded when you win a Priceline bid? I assume it's the least expensive room in the hotel, but would love some feedback from actual bid winners. Big difference from winning a bid on a $300 room vs. a $150 room. Lastly, assuming you are assigned the least expensive room, will hotels generally allow upgrades or no?

Thanks in advance for help.

Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

PRICELINE and HOTWIRE reservations are for regular/non-upgraded rooms. People have sometimes gotten upgrages, but I would recommend not going in with high hopes. You can ask at check-in or before the stay (writing/calling.) The hotel could say no, yes or possibly charge you an upgrade fee (which is generally around the difference between a regular and upgraded room.) What they say may depend on the hotel, day or even who you talk to. Some cities are also unlikely - NYC, for example.

If you need assistance with your stay, please provide city, date/s, desired zone/star rating and budget.

Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
