ajmishler Posted January 6, 2014 Report Posted January 6, 2014 Hi There! I'm new to the forum and bidding travel sites, however, did read the how-to's and understand the concepts discussed. I'm trying to book a trip and am looking at Kauai for the week of Feb 10 or Feb 17. Can anyone help me with a specific bidding strategy for Kauai? What to start for price, etc? Looked like there were a few getting good prices at the Sheraton? Thanks much in advance!Adam
thereuare Posted January 6, 2014 Report Posted January 6, 2014 Welcome to BetterBidding! Please click each of these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links, then reply to this thread and we'll have a look at your post above. In your reply, please also include your desired star level and your maximum bid per nite for this trip. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... and your searches too! ajmishler Posted January 7, 2014 Author Report Posted January 7, 2014 Thanks! I've clicked on both of the links and will use the links for searching and bidding. I'm looking for 4* or greater, would like to pay 150 or less if at all possible though would consider 175-200 if necessary.Thank you!!
thereuare Posted January 7, 2014 Report Posted January 7, 2014 Are you looking for the full week (2/10-2/17 or 2/17-2/24) and your dates are flexible that you can choose whichever is less expensive? The week of Feb 17-24 may be a little better since it does not include Valentine's Day, which is historically a very busy nite for hotels.Which zone(s) within Kaui are you willing to accept? Did you want to try one set of dates up to your $150 limit, then try the other set of dates up to your $150 limit, and if each are rejected then try up to $175 and then up to $200?Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. ajmishler Posted January 7, 2014 Author Report Posted January 7, 2014 Any of the zones are ok with us, as are either of the weeks. We are pretty flexible across both of those weeks. Avoiding valentines day makes sense to me, really just looking for the best value. Starting at 150 and going up from there makes sense to me.Thanks.
