thereuare Posted January 3, 2014 Report Posted January 3, 2014 Welcome to BetterBidding! Please change the drop down menu on the top right of HOTWIRE's page to United States and the currency dropdown to US Dollars. Then continue to search HOTWIRE and post to the board in US Dollars so that rates are consistent and not subject to interpretation due to future currency fluctuation. Once you're ready to purchase stay on the US version of their site and simply change the drop down menu to whatever currency you'd like to use and complete your purchase.Using the method above, what is the room rate of each in US Dollars? (please use the method above and not simply convert EUR to USD, as the method above will give us the room rate per nite before fees/taxes)Thanks. Kiwines Posted January 3, 2014 Author Report Posted January 3, 2014 Thanks a lot for your answer.Ok those are the US fares in $:Midtown Central area, 4*, 4 of 5 at Tripadvisor, $177/ night, 75% recommendedEmpire State Building area, 4*, 4 of 5 at Tripadvisor, $165/night, 85% recommendedMadison Square Garden/ Hells Kitchen, 4*, 4 of 5 at Tripadvisor, $178/ night, 70% recommendedAny clues?
thereuare Posted January 3, 2014 Report Posted January 3, 2014 Best guess for each:4* MTC--> Mansfield Hotel4* ESB--> Carlton on Madison Ave or the St Giles The Court 4* MSG--> The New Yorker Hotel Ramada PlazaSince this an extended stay you could see if this same property is offered for the first (or last) nite of your stay and then again for the balance. If so, you could purchase the solo nite in order to 'look behind the curtain'. If you're happy with the results purchase the remaining nites, if not, make alternate plans for the balance of your stay. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
