jayemdee Posted January 3, 2014 Report Posted January 3, 2014 Hello - first post here, very impressed by the site and the community around it. I'm looking to book a hotel close to Times Square for a May trip and came across the below on the BiddingHelper tool. Thoughts on which hotel this might be? seems like a good price compared to all others I've found with these amenities.3.5* Madison Square Garden - Hell's Kitchen area $133/night5/7-5/1095% recommendedAmenities: - Free Breakfast - Free Internet - Pet Friendly - Fitness Center - Business Center - Self Service Laundry - Accessibility: Accessible for the Blind, Accessible for the deaf, In-Room AccessibilityTripAdvisor: 4 of 5 starsThanks!
thereuare Posted January 3, 2014 Report Posted January 3, 2014 Welcome to BetterBidding! (and thanks for the compliments on the site :) )I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links.NOTE that to see the complete amenities associated with each you will need to do the following:1) search HOTWIRE and select the offer from the search results page2) click the BOOK NOW button3) in the TRIP SUMMARY BOX click the 'See more' link at the end of the amenitiesThis is the amenity set for the 3.5* hotel i'm seeing in this zone when searching for your dates:Complimentary Breakfast Free Internet Pet Friendly Fitness Business Laundry Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Room Accessible Wheelchair Accessible Bathroom Accessible Roll-in Shower If this is what you're seeing, i'm not certain, but the Element New York Times Square West would be my best guess for this one. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
jayemdee Posted January 3, 2014 Author Report Posted January 3, 2014 Great tip. I went into the Hotwire listing and saw the following for amenities (listed verbatim):- Free Breakfast- Pet Friendly- Business Center- Accessible for the blind- In-room Accessibility- Accessible bathroom- Free Internet- Fitness Center- Self Service Laundry- Accessible for deaf- Wheelchair accessible- Roll-in showerIt looks almost exactly like what you've stated below. Does it matter how the amenities are stated? ie. is "Complimentary Breakfast" different from "Free Breakfast" and would indicate a different hotel?thanks so much for the help.
thereuare Posted January 3, 2014 Report Posted January 3, 2014 Complimentary Breakfast = Free Breakfast... over time HOTWIRE sometimes changes the wording slightlyLet us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck!
