thereuare
You can't bid on a specific hotel when using PRICELINE, you have to be able to accept any hotel in the zone at the star level (or higher) that you choose. With HOTWIRE you can often take an educated guess as to what is being offered based upon the amenities associated with the property, but it's still a 'best guess' and no guarantees you will receive the hotel you're hoping for. As well, HOTWIRE only shows one hotel at each star level per zone, so there is a chance the hotel you're hoping for isn't the one which is offered for your particular dates.Let us know if/how you'd like to proceed and we'll advise accordingly. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. VacationDude
For what it's worth, I stayed at the Water Club (won through Priceline) and had a great time. It's literally right on the beach, you walk out the front door and you're on the beach. It's a smaller, boutique-style hotel and it's not perfect, but there was an awesome bed and I was comfortable the whole time. I've stayed in San Juan several times and the Water Club had the best location of any hotel I've stayed at (for a beach vacation), although...yes...it's not the nicest, but still, it does feel a little upscale. It was a solid deal for me. I'd consider myself lucky if I won the Water Club again as opposed to a few other regular Priceline San Juan hotels. Link to comment
