fairylein Posted December 30, 2013 Report Posted December 30, 2013 Hi, I am trying to identify five hotels at Hotwire and cannot figure it out - I know asking about five hotels is asked a lot, but I would be very happy about any idea you might have! As we will be sharing the room with my mother in law and our three year old it is quite important to 'get it right' ;) hot RATE ROOM3 NIGHTS5/17/14 to 5/20/143 ADULTS, 1 CHILD------No. 13 1/2 stars Disney Maingate/Celebration area64$ per night Free Parking Resort Full kitchen Air-Conditioning Laundry in room Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Front Desk Internet access--------No. 23 1/2 stars Lake Buena Vista/Downtown Disney area74$ and 12.95$ Resort feeFree ParkingFitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)Business CenterSelf service laundryInternet accessGolf NearbyAccessible for the blindAccessible for the deafAccessible path of travelIn-room accessibilityAccessible bathroomHandicapped parkingRoll-in shower------No. 34 Stars Lake Buena Vista/Downtown Disney area109$ and 12.95$ Resort fee Free ParkingFree InternetResort2 Bedroom SuiteFull kitchenLaundry in roomFitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)Business Center24-hour Front DeskSelf service laundryInternet accessSpa ServicesAccessible for the blindAccessible for the deafAccessible path of travelIn-room accessibilityAccessible bathroomHandicapped parkingRoll-in shower-----No. 43 Stars Lake Buena Vista/Downtown Disney68$ Free Parking Resort Studio Air-Free ParkingResortStudioAir-ConditioningChildren's actvitiesFitness CenterPool(s)Business Center24-hour Front DeskInternet accessTennis NearbyKitchenetteAccessible path of travelIn-room accessibilityAccessible bathroomHandicapped parking------No. 52 Stars Lake Buena Vista/Downtown Disney83$ Free Parking 2 Bedroom Suite Full kitchen Smoke Free Rooms Air-Conditioning Laundry in room Pool(s) Front Desk Self service laundryOnce again, thank you very much for helping me out!P.S.: Do they really only charge a resort fee when it is shown by hotwire? Noticed there are some 'resorts' with seemingly no resort fee?
thereuare Posted December 30, 2013 Report Posted December 30, 2013 Welcome to BetterBidding! What is it that you're looking for from this stay? Are all of these realistic options? For example, why would the 2* hotel be of interest when it it lower rated and more expensive than all the 3* and 3.5* hotels you have listed? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. fairylein Posted December 30, 2013 Author Report Posted December 30, 2013 Thank you, great website by the way! I will definitely use the link when I make a booking!I included No.5, the more expensive 2 1/2 star hotel because of the 2 bedrooms (would put some distance between me and mother-in-law :D ), anyway right now I would book either No.1 or No.3 - any ideas?
thereuare Posted December 31, 2013 Report Posted December 31, 2013 I don't have a confident guess in the 3.5* Maingate Condo... the Mystic Dunes would be a guess, but i'm really not certain. For the 4* Lake Buena Vista condo my guess here would be the Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. fairylein Posted December 31, 2013 Author Report Posted December 31, 2013 Thank you for your help, I used your HOTWIRE link and just booked No.4, it even got 4$ cheaper per night ; )Got the Grande Villas Resort and am very happy about it for that price...my only concern is that I got a 'studio' for three adults and one child and PRICELINE etc. say that this is just for two adults and two children. Do you think it is likely that they might give me a one bedroom suite as a HOTWIRE customer?
thereuare Posted December 31, 2013 Report Posted December 31, 2013 Congratulations on your success! Glad to see you're pleased with the result and looking forward to your trip.ALL PRICELINE reservations (regardless of which part of their service you book on, 'name your own price', retail, or PRICELINE EXPRESS) are for double occupancy only. HOTWIRE will guarantee the number of guests you included in your search. If a studio room will accommodate the four of you then i would assume that is the room type you will receive, but i don't even see a studio room offered on their website, only 1BR, 2BR, and 3BR. If you do receive a studio you can always ask about an upgrade upon check-in, the hotel may say 'no', may upgrade you for free, or may offer an upgrade at an additional charge.Thank you for sharing your results and using the HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchase. Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
