NY NYC Sheraton Russell

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights from 8/21/03 - 8/24/03. Got the room through Hotwire at $103 per night, plus taxes/fees.

Goods:

Rooms are very clean and decent size for NYC.

Beds and pillows are very comfortable.

Lobby is quiet and cozy.

Location has less traffic and crowds than other parts of NYC.

Hotel staff was pleasant.

Nice fitness center with free water and fruit.

Hotel is smaller than other hotels in NYC, there was rarely a wait for the elevator and never more than a couple of people using the fitness center.

Bads:

Elevators were very small, could barely fit 4 people in them.

No restaurant in hotel, although there is a bar/lounge area.

No restaurants or stores located beside hotel, had to walk around a few blocks.

Not much room in bathroom to store toiletries, also bathroom was not well-lit.

My room was on the 5th Floor with a view of 37th street. I could hear the street traffic at night. I also heard the guests in the next room because the doors were thin.
