I started bidding at $55 and used my free rebids at $5 increments. In previous years, I got rooms in this hotel for less, but after looking at the rates on the Hyatt website, I can't complain. I used the Better Bidding PRICELINE link.

As the economy has been getting stronger over the last few years, so has the hotel market, and as a result we have seen prices increase a bit year-over-year in many areas. However, as you point out, 'retail' rates have gone up as well, so even though we're current paying a bit more than in years past, the discounts are still great.
