Hotwire Hotel: Is the retail price meaningful?

There is a 4.5* HOTWIRE Hotel in the Wailea - Makena area for January 29-February 4th that shows the retail price at $1545/night (discounted to $436). From the forum I determined that this hotel is the Andaz by Hyatt, but when I check Hyatt's website the standard room is $549 and a suite is $1199. Is the retail price meaniful, i.e. could this be a suite or is it just an inflated price for a standard room?

The "retail price" is not a useful guide in determining a hotel, really. It is not the retail price of the underlying hotel, but a compilation of comparable hotels in the area for your date/s.
