Rental Car at LHR

I am heading to the UK in May with my family and was wondering if anyone has had any success with HOTWIRE or PRICELINE and renting a car?

You might also try posting in the UK area on FlyerTalk.

Posts there tend to get better responses when they are more detailed - your concerns and needs, and even a little bit about your planned use of the car.

PS - While I really enjoy the site and find lots of useful information there, it isn't as tightly monitored and as orderly as this one. Some "flaming" occurs and there are lots of cryptic abbreviations and acronyms.

Thanks for the responses. Here are some details. May 2 to May 10. It will be my wife, one year old and 3 year old and myself. I guess I am just trying to see what people have bid and won with and what kind of car they ended up with. I am just worried that our car seats won't fit. And yes I try and always remember to start my search from Better Bidding.

I have looked through a lot of the boards and have yet to see someone who is trying to get a rental through LHR.
