You made a very good guess! :) The NY Palace it is - and when I went back to book, the rate had lowered to $136 per night. Seems like a pretty darn good deal for this hotel.

You're also near my often recommended Ess-A-Bagel (Third Ave at 51st St) which has one of the best bagels in the city, makes for a nice, and relatively inexpensive, breakfast among local NYers.
