DMC778 Posted December 11, 2013 Report Posted December 11, 2013 Hi! I am looking for an after cruise hotel in San Juan on Sunday, February 9. We fly out early on Monday so probably closer to the airport might be better. Looking to a 3.5 to 4 star but want to stay under $90.00 any ideas on what to do.Thanks
thereuare Posted December 11, 2013 Report Posted December 11, 2013 Welcome to BetterBidding! If you haven't yet, please start by reading your messages. If you go to PRICELINE and look at the zones within this region there is only one zone 'San Juan' near the airport and it extends about 10 miles from the airport... if you were to end up in the western edge of this zone (near Old San Juan) would this be close enough to the airport for you?If not, take a look at HOTWIRE where the have this same area sub-divided into three different zones and you can get closest to the airport by selecting the Isla Verde zone, then the Condado zone, then the Old San Juan zone.Let us know your thoughts on the above and how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. VacationDude Posted December 11, 2013 Report Posted December 11, 2013 Anywhere in San Juan is close to the airport, as the cab prices all cost the same from anywhere in san juan to the airport and san juan is not that big of an area. Not sure what kind of "idea" you want, just go onto Priceline and bid under $90 for a hotel in the san juan area, if that's what you want. It's extremely unlikely you'll get a 4-star for that much, especially because they all add on resort fees. You might get a 3.5-star for that much, but they'll probably pile on resort fees as well.
thereuare Posted December 11, 2013 Report Posted December 11, 2013 ...the cab prices all cost the same from anywhere in san juan to the airport...This is a new policy since i was last in San Juan, but the rates are actually range in price from $10-$19 depending upon where in San Juan you start/end... plus $1 per each piece of luggage. Please confirm the zones you're willing to accept and we will suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
