Any thoughts? Also I noticed on here that someone got the Shangri-La listed by them as 5* in nov 2013, I dont see this hotel on priceline at all. Im wondering if they slip others in not listed on their site? Please advise I'm trying to book 3 rooms

thereuare Posted December 11, 2013 Report Posted December 11, 2013 PRICELINE's bidding 'Name Your Own Price', PRICELINE EXPRESS, and 'retail' sections of their site all use a different universe of hotels, so you shouldn't expect all possibilities to appear on the 'retail' side of their site. The hotel with the lowest retail rate is usually not a good indication of the hotel you will receive as there is a low correlation between the two (a higher correlation if one hotel is $200 and the other $500, but if one is $250 and another $300, that isn't a good indication as to which one you will likely win as one hotel may only discount their rates 10% while another property may be willing to discount 50%)With the above noted, i think the Pan Pacific is a likely possibility, but i wouldn't rule out the Four Seasons Hotel or the Fairmont either. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help.
