Priceline Hotel: 5* Las Vegas Strip Vicinity South 12/20-12/23--How much to bid for?

Hello, i have been going through the bidding section in priceline. I think the hotel is Vdara because when i select it, there is no Casino in the description. The average price for a 5 star in that area is $89. Whats a good price to start the bidding at? Is it advisable to not go too much under the average price?

Note that the amenities next to the star rating on the bidding page of PRICELINE's website are amenities that are common among ALL hotels of that star rating in the zone... NOT a specific hotel that you're bidding on (ie- so if all 5* hotels in the zone have a Pool, then the Pool amenity is shown... if even just one 5* hotel in the zone does not have a pool, then this amenity is not shown, even though the hotel you receive may actually be one that does indeed have a pool). At this point in the bidding process PRICELINE hasn't even checked inventory for your dates.

PRICELINE EXPRESS is currently offered a 5* hotel in the Strip South zone for $101/nite (Outdoor Pool, Free Internet, Free Parking, Business Center, Fitness Center) which i'm guessing is likely the Vdara. Using the current promo 5% code HOLIDAY brings this down to $96/nite... should we use this as your maximum bid OR did you have some other maximum bid amount that you'd like to use?
