jmuls
Although this is my first time posting, I have used the board and links before and it has been very helpful, Thanks to ALL. I found some air miles to Aruba in January and booked a flight. I am planning on taking the flight to Curacao for a few days as well, I have no real agenda so I will be able to move my dates around and will be looking for 4 star, no preference where. I started the other day in the 90 dollar range, I am thinking it will be a late booking as it is in season, but still a little slow down there ( according to the small airline company going to Curacao ) I will keep you posted if I win at a good price or have to cancel the trip. The rack rates are crazy expensive, and I will use price lines pre negotiated deals as a starting point. Happy holidays to all Joe Link to comment

jmuls
HOTWIRE has a 4 star in Curacao for 66 dollars but no beach, PRICELINE has same thing for 126 w/ no beach. It got me wondering if I could bid 4 star and end up in town ( which could be OK, this is an adventure LOL ) All of the hotels listed for price line 4 star in Curacao have a beach and the rack rates w/ AAA are 225- 250 bucks . I have been to aruba and all the 4 stars are fine with me and there rack rates are in the 300 $ range. 5 years ago I was able to get the Marriot stellaris for 80 $ and have seen some wins posted in the 100 plus range on the board.
